NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-RERA) has extended the deadline for submission of quarterly progress reports (QPRs) for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, to October 21, 2026, following the introduction of a new digital signing process.

Under the revised procedure, promoters are required to submit the QPR along with digitally signed certificates issued by the project architect, engineer and chartered accountant.

The architect will have to digitally sign the REG-1 certificate, the engineer the REG-2 certificate, and the chartered accountant the REG-3 certificate using valid Digital Signature Certificates (DSCs).

The revised procedure was prescribed through an office memorandum dated September 30, 2026.

UP RERA said the extension has been granted as the DSC-based process is being implemented for the first time and promoters and concerned professionals may require additional time to adapt to the revised digital workflow.

The authority has directed promoters to complete the filing of QPRs along with all three digitally signed certificates by the extended deadline.

Separately, UP RERA has advised homebuyers to deposit payments only into the designated collection account of the concerned real estate project.

Homebuyers have been asked to verify the project’s collection account details on the UP RERA portal before making payments towards bookings, instalments or other dues.

The authority has also asked buyers to report instances where a promoter or developer seeks payment into a bank account other than the project’s designated collection account.
