AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA) has implemented a comprehensive standard operating procedure (SOP) to make the grievance redressal process faster, more transparent, and well-organised for property buyers and other stakeholders.
The new SOP is based on a digital-first approach, strengthening the existing online system and clearly defining procedural timelines and responsibilities.
Property buyers can now register complaints from home via the GujRERA portal. Although the offline facility is still available, online complaints will be encouraged for quicker resolution. After filing an online complaint, a physical copy must be submitted to the RERA office within 7 days, said a state govt release.
To reduce delays, complainants must upload all necessary documents, such as proof of payment and event details, at the time of filing the complaint. Complaints will be directly reviewed at the RERA secretary level to ensure no hindrance in proceedings.
The RERA dashboard will be the main platform for tracking case progress. Hearing dates, notices, and final orders will be available digitally. After the first notice, stakeholders must regularly check the dashboard for updates.
