NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh real estate regulatory authority (UP-RERA) has resolved 50,812 consumer complaints so far, accounting for nearly 40% of all real estate grievances disposed of across the country.
Since its inception, the authority has received 58,545 complaints under section 31 of the RERA Act, representing 39% of the national total. With a disposal rate of 85.2%, UP-RERA has emerged as the leading forum for homebuyers seeking redressal of issues related to possession delays, refunds, and interest payments.
Sanjay Bhoosreddy, chairman, UP-RERA said the disposal rate reflects the regulator’s focus on timely justice and accountability of promoters.
In 2025 alone, 2,394 complaints were filed with the regulator, of which 1,810 have already been resolved. Most cases originated from districts with high real estate activity, including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, and Meerut.
